Carnival is just around the corner...
One of the biggest celebrations of the year - Carnival is soon amongst us! From the 1st until the 5th of March, Malta and Gozo become more bright, more colourful and more fun! After the gloomy winter weather, we truly hope the sun will come out this year so that everyone has their time to shine.
Carnival takes place across the islands, with the main celebrations in the capital, Valletta, where many gather to watch parades of colourful floats, music bands, and people in bright costumes and grotesque masks. Anyone is allowed to wear whatever costume or mask they desire and walk around the streets in costume during this happy time of the year!
